After the Warriors got bounced out of the Play-In Tournament a few months ago, I was in a bad mood for weeks. Watching the team collapse like that hurt, especially knowing Steph Curry gave everything he had just to keep us in the fight. It felt like the end of something, and I honestly didn’t know if I’d get to see him on a big stage like that again. But then came the 2024 Olympics. And when the gold medal game finally tipped off against France, Steph reminded the world exactly who he is.

He absolutely went off. Steph dropped 32 points in the final, hitting big-time threes like it was 2016 again. Every time France started to make a run, he answered with a deep shot or a clutch play that shut it down. He wasn’t just out there to win. He was out there to lead, to show why he belongs in the conversation with the greatest ever. Watching him play alongside guys like LeBron, KD, and Tatum, it was clear he wasn’t just part of the team. He was the guy. The MVP of the moment. He controlled the pace, made smart decisions, and hit some shots that just made you shake your head in disbelief.

As a Warriors fan, it felt so good to see him finally get that Olympic gold. After everything he’s done for the game, this was one of the last things missing from his resume. And after the pain of watching Golden State fall short this year, seeing Steph lift that gold medal, smiling with his teammates, brought all the joy rushing back. He gave us one more legendary performance on one of the biggest stages, and I couldn’t be more proud. That game reminded me why I’ll always believe in Steph Curry. No matter what happens with the Warriors next, this summer was proof that he’s still got it, and the world knows it, too.
